Event
When we're born into our physical bodies, we're not the clean slate we believe ourselves to be.
We inherit our parent's genes that decide the colour of our eyes, hair, and skin.
We take on their cultures and beliefs.
We grow up experiencing their circumstances as their environment becomes our environment.
Add to this our own joys and disappointments that help define our experiences, reinforcing what we already believe to be true.
All of the above shape our ego.
What we tend to forget is that before we were born into these physical bodies, we were none of this. We were souls. Or energy. Or nothingness. It depends on what you believe.
At a time of crisis, it is our ego that attaches to fear believing we are limited. Only when we fully let go of the ego and experience life as what we truly are, a limitless expansion of nothingness and everything undifferentiated by our stories, can true healing on a global scale begin.
It starts with us. In which ways are our egos reinforcing the stories that we have taken on to be true? How can we begin to break those patterns and embrace who we truly are?
There is work for all of us to be done here.
