Meet your speaker:
David Davies, CEO of AgUnity. David has been awarded the 2018 Global Agripreneur of the Year by Future Agro Challenge for AgUnity's work in helping developing world farmers lift themselves out of poverty. AgUnity was recently highlighted in reports by the World Bank, FAO WFP and Oxford University as a leading example of how to reduce inefficiency and waste leading to improved income, financial inclusion and reduced inequality in poor rural communities.
David had a 30 year career in technology including 10 years at executive level in investment banks including Goldman Sachs, Lehman Brothers and Standard Chartered where he was Global Head of Market Data control, responsible for over US$100M of annual data spend. David previously founded two successful companies in Mobile (Japan 2005) and Big Data (Singapore 2013) before turning back to his farming roots and applying advanced blockchain and enterprise data architecture to agribusinesses.
