About the Guest Speaker
I have always considered myself entrepreneurial, but although I am a natural risk taker, I often take my time.
Upon leaving De Montfort University in Leicester Tom Nicholson joined his father’s business and quickly found himself deep in management. This led to a corporate job which exposed his weakness for being a non-conformist. For the next decade Tom ventured into the central London real estate market, as an agent. That's when he discovered his talent for selling. Being surrounded by properties all day, he began buying, selling and renovating apartments, honing his skills for negotiation and project management. One day he realised he had been employed for long enough. It was time to reach out on his own. Eventually, Tom built a successful property management company.
Upon relocating to Lithuania is 2013, I decided to sell the property management company and started pondering what to do next. I took 6 months to figure out what would be my future. Today I own 'Jurgis ir drakonas' pizza chain. We employ over 160 people across 5 restaurants in Vilnius and Kaunas.
At the event Tom will talk about why he thinks relocating to Lithuania was the best thing for his business. He will explain how he starts a business and the first steps he makes. He will also explain why he believes entrepreneurs are born and not made and will give some tips that he has learned from his business in Lithuania.

About the Location
We will be meeting in probably the cosiest and biggest open kitchen in central Vilnius - Lithuania’s favourite TV chef and cookery author Beata Nicholson's culinary studio. When it is not used as a filming studio it becomes a venue for cooking classes and parties as well as pop-up lunches and other events.
