From humble beginnings in Wolverhampton, England, Helen now heads up the Cape Leopard Trust, a conservation and research organisation based in Cape Town. Through its work the Cape Leopard Trust manages to touch on 8 of the Millennium Development Goals and uses the enigmatic leopard as an icon to address broader social and environmental issues.
