GUEST SPEAKER - Our guest speaker this month is Matthew Norton, the creator of the Memusi Foundation. In April 2017 Matthew was recognised by Prime Minister Theresa May for Outstanding Services to Voluntary Work after more than a decade of work in Kenya and Tanzania. 

After an accident whilst travelling in Tanzania, Matthew was thrust into a mission to support children into education. A decade and 4 schools later, Matthew currently supports 1000 children in Primary Education raising over £1.25m to work with children and families all over the World

His is a story of grit and determination about how the actions of just one person can make a massive difference in the world. Prepared to be inspired and humbled as Matthew shares his journey with us.

We are also delighted to welcome Jon Masters to share ways we can use technology to make our lives easier and businesses more efficient.  Jon will share his insights on how we can incorporate, and add value by doing so, various VR and AR technologies into businesses.

WHAT IS AN ENTREPRENEUR SOCIAL EVENT?

Leeds is proud to host another Entrepreneur Social as part of the Entrepreneur Institute community dedicated to educating and connecting people interested in entrepreneurship and social impact. 

It is a monthly event designed to connect Leeds very own vibrant community of Entrepreneurs, Thought Leaders, Change Makers and Do Good'ers with the very latest tools for accelerating trust and flow in your lives to create a bigger, long lasting impact on the world.

Each social we will be inviting a successful Entrepreneur to share their story, their triumph, their woe’s, lessons and actions to take away. Think TEDx style presentations crossed with open discussions to dig deeper into the juicy stuff.

All this surrounded by a supportive network of peers in a relaxed environment to nurture your mind, body and soul with plenty of time afterwards to stay for drinks and widen your personal circle of friends, share resources and form collaborative partnerships

WHO SHOULD ATTEND

The event is open to anyone who is interested in entrepreneurship and social impact and would like to network in a relaxed social environment with other professionals and business owners, to share success stories, support one another and discuss strategies.

The event is being hosted in Horizon Leeds, a superb venue in central Leeds accessible to the station and with plenty of parking.
